What breaks, and how to prepare
Hotel guest-floor equipment, banquet kitchens, corporate cafeterias and dining rooms near the malls have different usage patterns. Symptoms help guide assessment. We repair Hoshizaki, Manitowoc, Scotsman and Ice-O-Matic commercial ice machines, including machines we did not install.
Tell us the brand, model and serial number from a safely accessible plate, plus any visible error light or code. We can check service and parts availability; no stocked-part promise is made.
- No ice or very little ice: water supply, sensors, condenser condition or a refrigeration fault may be involved.
- Small, thin or cloudy cubes: scale, low flow, filtration or equipment condition needs assessment.
- Water on the floor: drains, valves or bin drainage may be involved.
- Grinding or squealing: stop guessing at parts and ask for a technician assessment of motors, pumps and other possible causes.
Prices before we start
For repairs, request a written repair quote before work. Repair work carries a 90-day warranty. Rental repair parts and labor are included.
The written quote establishes diagnosis, scope and applicable terms before you authorize repair; no numerical component price or automatic free-return promise applies.
Fix it, or replace it?
Compare the written repair quote with equipment condition, fault history, replacement quotes and your operational needs. A fixed valve or compressor price, machine age or number of previous faults cannot decide that for every site.
Rental starts at $160/month and includes the machine, installation, standard scheduled PM every 6 months and repair parts/labor. Two months are paid up front, then it is month-to-month. No setup or installation fee; free pickup on cancellation. If repair becomes unsuitable, discuss replacement arrangements and availability; no guaranteed replacement or uninterrupted ice.
Renting covers included service, but owning may still suit your circumstances. We explain options rather than promising this is your last repair bill.
Hotels and multi-unit properties
Tell us how many machines need attention and where they are located. Discuss whether assessment and maintenance can be coordinated; a single-visit diagnosis for every unit is not guaranteed.
PM costs $295/visit on a machine you own; standard scheduled PM is included with rental. A visit includes deep sanitizing of water-contact surfaces, scale removal, a mechanical inspection, a filter check and service paperwork. Standard scheduled PM is every 6 months. Follow manufacturer instructions and clean sooner if conditions warrant; more frequent needs are assessed individually. Paperwork documents maintenance, not a guaranteed inspection result.
Hotel guest-floor equipment and other configurations require suitability and service availability confirmation. Five or more rental units receive 10% off; ten or more receive 15% off.
