Beach bars, rooftop decks and seafood spots from Mandalay Ave and the Pier 60 area to Island Estates and Sand Key, then south on Gulf Blvd through Indian Rocks Beach, Redington Beach, Madeira Beach and Treasure Island: Crystal Ice serves these Pinellas beach communities. We are based just over the causeway in Clearwater and have been caring for Tampa Bay ice machines for more than 30 years, since 1992.
Beach kitchens are hard on ice machines
Keep exterior vents clear and leave the manufacturer-required ventilation space. Discuss condenser cleaning with a technician, and protect equipment from direct sea air and spray where the installation permits. Do not open energized or internal electrical/refrigerant panels.
- Salt air: salty, humid air can corrode condenser coils and metal parts faster than inland conditions.
- Sand and open air: open-air bars can draw sand and debris into condenser vents.
- Peak-season volume: tourist season, holidays and spring break increase demand while heat can reduce output.
Rent it with covered repairs
Rental starts at $160/month and includes the machine, installation, standard scheduled PM every 6 months and repair parts/labor. Two months are paid up front, then it is month-to-month. No setup or installation fee; free pickup on cancellation. If repair becomes unsuitable, discuss replacement arrangements and availability; no guaranteed replacement or uninterrupted ice.

For repairs, request a written repair quote before work. Repair work carries a 90-day warranty. Rental repair parts and labor are included.
Plan your own ice contingency while scheduling is confirmed; a same-day visit, weekend dispatch or loaner is not guaranteed.
Hurricane season
Plan shutdown, safe restart and an alternative ice supply before a storm. Under a boil-water notice, do not use ice from an ice machine. DBPR’s historical Ice Protection bulletin gives this guidance; its older code references are not a statement of current rule adoption. Follow current local notices and manufacturer instructions.
